Save Central is an umbrella group representing a wide variety of organisations and individuals concerned that Central Otago’s rich heritage resources, particularly its outstanding landscapes, not be vandalized for the sake of a ‘think big’ scheme based on disputable scientific and economic assumptions.
 
Save Central encourages a rational, informed public debate about all aspects of New Zealand’s future energy requirement, leading to the development of a responsible energy policy acceptable to most New Zealand citizens.
